New lifestyle brand Sterling & Singh celebrates the timeless style of polo's golden era, the 1930s. The label's debut is a tribute to Stewart B. Iglehart, a  legendary 10-goaler and amongst the top polo players in the world. Iglehart was a dedicated athlete who played for the love of the game.

His son, Stewart B. Iglehart Jr., has teamed up with Creative Director, Tasha Sterling, to create the first capsule collection. Our hand-crafted dresses share the spirit and history of the global sport. Featuring 1930s inspired pleats, the colors and design of these pieces evoke Iglehart's Chilean roots.

Stewart B. Iglehart (1910-1993), considered one of the greatest athletes of all time, is the only athlete to be inducted into two American sports halls of fame. The ice hockey and polo player was also named Sports Illustrated’s Best All Around Athlete in 1937.

Born in Chile and raised in the United States, Iglehart was a five-time winner of the U.S. Open and represented America on four occasions versus England and Mexico. He also won the Indoor Polo Open Championship twice.

At his 1990 induction ceremony into the Polo Hall of Fame, his presentation citation said: “He was a brilliant ten goal player who was always known for his tactical finesse, great anticipation and teamwork. At the #3 position, he had the uncanny ability to turn the play and stay one stride ahead of the opposition. By his own play, he could inspire teammates to perform beyond their usual capabilities.”
